A new cocktail menu at George’s of the Market

Saturday, January 28, 2017

I was invited by OhhSocial to join them at George's of the Market for the launch of the restaurant's new cocktail menu.  Cocktails? For me to try? - yes please- don't mind if I do!

If you don’t know it, George’s of the Market is conveniently located above St. Georges Market in Belfast city centre where it has overlooked the bustling market for over 15 years.  The team at George’s has been working with Lisburn based Hughes Craft distillery who developed the delicious Ruby Blue Vodka, Ireland’s first potato distilled vodka to develop the new cocktail menu.

I took my good friend, Pamela along for the craic as we do love a good night out and a cocktail or two.  We were treated to some delicious nibbles along with a selection of cocktails from the new menu.  We were offered the #PimpMyProsecco (Using The Ruby Blue Liquer Range with a choice of cranberry, blackcurrant or wild blueberry), the Belfast Martini ( an original French Martini with a George’s twist- Ruby Blue Vodka, Ruby Blue wild blackcurrant liqueur & pineapple juice) and the Norn Iron Bramble ( a twist on the traditional Bramble using Shortcross Gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and Ruby Blue Wild Blackcurrant Liqueur.)  I would love to tell you which was my favourite but If I am honest, I loved them all (a bit too much if truth be told).  Other cocktails on the new menu include The George’s Mary, the Honey Mule, the Ruby Cosmo and the Armagh Sea Breeze.  I will definitely be back to try a few more of these.

The event also marked the launch of OhhSocial’s packed roster of partner offers for 2017, with the founders of the social app toasting 50 partners and more than 150 offers across four categories: Wine & Dine, Health & Beauty, Leisure & Activities and Kids Activities.

OhhSocial was launched last year with a mission to revolutionise the way Northern Ireland socialises. It is a smart phone app that offers more than 150 exclusive buy-one-get-one-free offers from leading partners across Northern Ireland.  An annual subscription for 2017 is currently available for just £14.99.  You can find out more here.  I have used the app and can recommend it for some amazing deals.

If for any reason you are a fan of a cocktail, you should pay a visit to George’s for their award winning breakfast.  It’s a proper Norn Iron fry up
