A new look for the Ivory Restaurant in Belfast

Thursday, February 15, 2018

Eating Ideas was invited for a visit to the newly refurbished Ivory Restaurant and Roof Terrace in Belfast. This is a favourite haunt of mine so how could I resist?

The Ivory is a gem of a restaurant in a prime location, situated on the top floor of House of Fraser in Victoria Square, Belfast’s premier shopping centre.

It’s a venue that I genuinely love. I have visited quite a few times and have never been disappointed. My favourite visits have been on sunny days sitting on the roof terrace with friends enjoying great food, service and views- what’s not to like?

The restaurant has recently re-opened following a £75,000 refurb investment, part of a wider £5m refit of the House of Fraser department store. Having been a fan of the venue previously, I was genuinely interested to see what the improvements looked like.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed with a choice of bubbly or a signature cocktail. Gerry White, founder of Jawbox gin was also there, dispensing perfect serve Jawbox and ginger (a personal favourite of mine!)

The restaurant has decked out the internal space with pretty pastel pinks and blues, while lime greens and florals take prominence for the roof terrace, which offers panoramic views over the city sky scape.

We were treated to live music and tasty little canapés and we chatted with other guests, thoroughly enjoying the occasion.

If you haven’t visited Ivory yet, I urge you to give it a try- I think you will like it! You can find out more here.
