How to have an endless supply of herbs from one original plant. Its super easy!

This is such an easy thing to do to have an endless supply of herbs.  I mainly do it with basil as it doesnt keep very well but it works with lots of herbs!

All you have to do is remove stalks from the plant and remove the lower leaves.  If you can’t use the leaves immediately, just open freeze them and transfer into a storage bag and keep them in the freezer until you need them.

Place the stalks in a glass of  water and change the water every couple of days.  After about 2 weeks, there will be roots on the stalks and you can plant them in individual pots.

You can keep doing this as many times as you want for an endless supply!

I love basil, it’s so tasty, super versatile and good in so many dishes, particularly tomato & basil pasta sauce. Once you start growing it , you will become obsessed with how much you can get from one plant!

If you do grow some, make sure to try my basil & rocket pesto recipe here.
