No. 8- the new rugby inspired bread!

Andrew Ingredients invited me to Kingspan stadium to a showcase of the very latest in bakery innovations and the launch of a new rugby inspired bread, called NO. 8
When we arrived at the Kinsgpan Stadium guests were greeted by two things- the friendly staff from Andrew Ingredients and the overwhelming smell of baked goods- enough to get my greedy mouth watering!
we got to sample all sorts of wonderful products, scones, doughnuts, cakes, sugar-free buns, gluten-free bread and more. Gluten-free diets are increasingly popular both for health and lifestyle reasons and it was fantastic to sample these goodies that tasted so good you would never guess they were gluten-free!
At the event, German ingredients supplier IREKS, launched their NO. 8 product, a rugby inspired bread. Like the no. 8 rugby position, NO. 8 bread is a true all -rounder, packed with strength. It contains several grains and is enriched with magnesium, calcium and vitamin E- it tastes pretty good to.
We were treated to a tour of the stadium, the Nevin Spence Centre and I even got some foodie chat with Ulster Rugby star, Chris Henry (Note to self: I really must expand my conversation topics to more than just food)
