About the festival
Some of County Down’s finest food and drink artisanal producers will be at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa, Newcastle on October 29th for the inaugural Slieve Donard Beer, Cider, Spirit and Cheese Festival.
This new food and drink event, supported by both Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Tourism Northern Ireland, is part of the annual Hallowtides calendar of celebrations taking place in Newcastle over Halloween.
Drinks exhibitors at the festival include Whitewater Brewery, Kilmegan Cider, Farmageddon Brewery, Tempted Cider, Hughes Spirits (Ruby Blue vodka) and Shortcross Gin, and local food producers include Kearney Blue Cheese and Fivemiletown Creamery.
Tickets for the event cost £12 per person, which includes 3 drinks tokens and a souvenir glass, and are available from the Slieve Donard reception or by calling the hotel on 028 4372 1066.
This fabulous Festival will showcase many of County Down’s finest brands and you can experience the whole lot. We almost wish we could win the tickets ourselves!
