I was offered a buffet lunch at a meeting today.  Ended up with a lovely selction of salads with roast chicken and salad.  Full of fresh veg and served with a tasty mustard dressing- quite nice!

A slice of toast with marmite for breakfast at my desk.  I had a few too many glasses of excellent wine in the Ivy last night so this was badly needed and certainly helped.  Now on with my working day!  

I didn’t really want a dessert but when this was delivered to my friend, I asked for an extra spoon.  The Pear Tart came served with salted caramel ice cream.  This was melt in the moth good!

A slice of toast with marmite for breakfast. They do say you either love it or hate it- well I am a self professed lover of marmite!  

I shared this cheese selection with my friend instead of having dessert.  It was a selection of Grana podano, gorganzola dolce and goats cheese – served with Sardinian crispbread and a date, fig and balsamic chutney- all for £5.95

Starters are the best part of the meal for me and I usually struggle to pck one.  This starter jumped off the page at me- Caprese- which was Campanian buffalo mozzarella, plum tomatoes, fresh basil and olive oil.  The Mozzarell literally melts in the mouth!

This is an easy lunch from Waitrose, Portabello mushroom filled with tomato, cheese and breadcrumbs.  Served with cherry tomatoes and a tiny bit of mayo.  Its really light and tasty.  In an ideal world I would have had this with salad but the fridge appears to be bare!
