Cajun Butternut Squash Fries

These Cajun & Butternut squash fries are easy to make and very healthy. Better still, they are totally deliciious and feel indulgent but without the guilt!


My quest to create a delicious and healthy alternative to chips may be complete as these oven baked squash fries are the bomb.  They have all the indulgence of the best comfort food but are really healthy.  Better still, they are delicious!

  • 1 butternut squash, peeled, deseeded & cut into fries
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (depending on how big your squash is, you may need a little more to ensure all the fries are completely coated)
  • 1 tbsp Cajun spice
  • 1 large pinch of salt

 

 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 200C
  • Place all the ingredients in a bowl & toss together until completely coated
  • Spread on to a lined tray
  • Bake in the oven for around 30 minutes (until piping hot and cooked through) flipping them halfway through
  • Serve & enjoy
