It’s no secret that I love an afternoon tea and when I was invited to try this out, I didn’t hesitate to say yes!
The food offering is really tasty. I always prefer the savoury items and this one offered a yummy demitasse of butternut squash soup with cinnamon oil and A delicious duck rillette with plum gel
The sandwiches included honey roast ham, brie & red onion,
chicken & basil pesto and
smoked salmon, chive & lemon cream cheese on wheaten.
The sweet elements were: Freshly baked buttermilk raisin scones with strawberry jam & clotted cream, sticky toffee & banana cake, mango & passion fruit tart, chocolate & honeycomb delice, raspberry choux bun and lemon macaron. Very generous portions meant that there was plenty to take home for Mr. Eating Ideas! Thankfully, the hotel provides cute little takeaway boxes to safely transport your goodies!
Shout out to the staff for their friendly and helpful service, especially Yvonne & Mark who looked after us so well.
If you haven’t been to the Bushmills Inn, it’s well worth a visit. It’s always been a favourite spot of mine with great food and excellent service. Did you know- they also have a 30 seater cinema too? Make sure to check out the secret library too!
