Have I mentioned that I love afternoon tea? It feels like such a decadent way to spend the afternoon and why not? We all deserve a bit of spoiling every now and then!
Believe me when I say, I have enjoyed more than my fair share of afternoon teas and I know what I like. Having said, I hadn’t tried the Titanic hotel’s version and I was very keen to give it a go.
I was invited to a special intimate socially distanced baby shower and I have to say I was very impressed. We were only a very small family group but the hotel made sure that we were fully distanced and in a private area.
We were served a selection of delicious sandwiches, a variety of scones with butter, jam, lemon curd and cream. The hotel make the lemon curd themselves and it was divine!
Our sweet treats included orange blossom cupcakes, pistachio eclairs, blueberry panna cotta, strawberry meringues and fresh fruit tartlets.
Everything was washed down with our choice of tea or coffee (I opted for the Titanic luxury whole leaf blend of Assam, Kenya & Darjeeling- delicious )
For me, the setting of an afternoon tea is nearly as important as the food and the hotel didn’t disappoint. It’s full of fascinating Titanic artifacts and enjoys stunning views of Belfast’s famous twin gantry cranes, Samson and Goliath!
If you like afternoon tea, I would definitely encourage you to try this one. I can honestly say that it is an absolute treat.
This looks class!
