I love having people round for Sunday lunch. It’s a much more leisurely occasion than a dinner party with time to prepare, time to serve and most importantly, time to enjoy!
I invited my good friend Louise and her partner Tim round for Sunday lunch and was really excited about their visit as I hadn’t seen them for quite a while.
Louise is a bit of a foodie so I spent more time than usual on planning my menu. I was particularly keen to do a great dessert and decided on a Malteser cheesecake. I like Cheesecake and I like Maltesers so what could possibly go wrong.
I have many many varieties of cheesecake but never Malteser so this was a bit of a gamble. I have to say that it worked really well and to my delight, my guests agreed!
If you want to give it a go, here is what you need:

15 hob nob or digestive biscuits (crushed)
75g melted butter
1 carton double cream
1 pack of Philadelphia cheese
100g icing sugar
2 large bags of maltesers

Mix the crushed biscuits and melted butter and press into a flan dish
Chill in the fridge
Beat together the cream cheese and icing sugar
Beat in the cream
Roughly crush one bag of maltesers and stir through the mix
Pour the mixture over the biscuit base and use the other bag of maltesers to decorate the top
Chill before serving

I really hope you like this!
