I remember making banoffee pie when I was growing up and the most painful part of the process was boiling the tin of condensed milk for hours to turn it into caramel. Well- guess what? The boffins in the lab have come up with another labour saving solution for the 21st century and have introduced a tin of ready created caramel. This really does make the banoffee pie making process a dawdle!
To make it you will need :
For the base:
80g Margarine or butter (melted)
160g digestive biscuits (crushed)
for the topping:
banana
Tin of caramel
whipped cream
flake
Instructions:
Mix the melted butter and crushed biscuits and press into a flan dish
pour over the caramel
top with sliced banana
spread the whipped cream over the top and sprinkle with crumbled flake chocolate
Chill and serve with mixed berries
