Cauliflower Steaks

A recipe and instructions for making these delicious cauliflower steaks, Perfect for vegans, vegetariarans and anyone wanting to reduce their meat intake. They make a great veggie side too!


Cauliflower steaks are, quite simply, one of the best ways to enjoy cauliflower!

 

I am a massive fan of cauliflower, but not when it is just served plain as it’s a bit dull.  These steaks, however, are a real game changer- they are totally yummy!

I served mine with Salsa Verde- recipe here.

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 3 tbsps. rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • pinch of sea salt
  • Preheat the oven to 200C
  • Slice the cauliflower horizontally (keeping the stalk running through the middle)
  • mix all the other ingredients together and paint onto both sides of the cauliflower
  • Place the slices on a lined baking tray and roast in the oven for around 20 minutes (turn them once during the cooking)
  • Serve & enjoy
