Just 5 ingredients needed to make a scrumptious Viennetta- whipping cream, condensed milk, vanilla essence and toasted almonds (the almonds are optional but I thought they would posh it up and add an extra texture)
I used:
• 500 mls whipping cream
• 175 mls condensed milk
• 2 tsps vanilla extract
• 100g dark chocolate (melted)
• 50g toasted almond flakes
o Line a 2lb loaf tin with cling film, allowing extra to cover the top
o Whisk the cream, condensed milk and vanilla extract until quite firm
o Spoon a third into the loaf tin
o Cover with a thin layer of chocolate (I used a pastry brush to spread it out as thinly as possible)
o Set in the freezer for a few minutes until the chocolate has set
o Repeat the process twice more, adding a layer of toasted almonds in the middle
o Cover the tin and freeze
o When ready to serve, remove from the tin and drizzle with the remaining melted chocolate (you may have to re melt this)
o Top with toasted almonds
o Serve & enjoy 😊
