Afternoon tea in The Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast

Sunday, August 12, 2018

This week is Afternoon Tea Week so what better time than to share my experience of the delicious Afternoon Tea offering in the Fitzwilliam Hotel?

Did I ever mention that I love afternoon tea?  It feels like such a decadent way to spend the afternoon and why not?  We all deserve a bit of spoiling every now and then!

Believe me when I say, I have enjoyed more than my fair share of afternoon teas and I know what I like.  Having said, I hadn’t tried the Fitzwilliam’s version and thought it was about time I did.  My friend Rachel and I paid a visit and we weren’t disappointed.  I can honestly say that their tea is an absolute treat.

We were served a selection of delicious finger sandwiches, a cream cheese vol-au-vent and a sausage roll slice.  A little cup of spicy soup was on the side.  Also on offer were plain & cherry scones with jam & cream, a lovely lemon posset and a selection of sweet treats.  All served with a refreshing glass of Prosecco in a 5 Star setting!

If you like afternoon tea, I would definitely encourage you to try this one.

Afternoon Tea in the Fitzwilliam Hotel is served from 1-4 pm and costs £25.00 per person.
