My friend Ashlea is a very good cook and sometimes shares her recipes with me.  After spending time with her over  the weekend, she has sumbitted this one to Eating Ideas and I have to say, it is  very good.  If you want to try it (and you really should)  you will need:

ingredients

12 chicken wings

2 tablespoons rapeseed oil

2 teaspoons of salt

4cm piece of fresh ginger

5 garlic cloves

2 chillies (seeds removed optional)

1 1/4 teaspoon of ground cumin seeds

1 1/2 teaspoons of paprika

1 teaspoon of cayenne

10 twists of black peppercorns

1 freshly squeezed orange (juice only)

4 teaspoons of honey
Instructions:

put all ingredients into a blender until smooth. marinade chicken wings for at least 30 mins (overnight is best).

remove half the marinade before cooking. put in 180oc oven for 30 mins. baste the wings with the rest of the marinade and put under grill (or bbq) to crisp up skin.
