Spicy lamb hummus flatbreads

A recipe and instructions for making delicious flatbreads topped with hummus, spicy lamb mince, rocket, feta cheese, pomegranate seeds and a drizzle of pomegrante molasses


I love this dish, it’s just so tasty and very versatile.  You can tweak it to suit whatever ingredients you have available.  I have added a drizzle of pomegranate molasses but a balsamic glaze would work just as well!

  • 2 red onions (finely sliced)
  • 500g lamb mince
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • flat breads
  • hummus
  • feta cheese
  • pine nuts
  • rocket leaves
  • pomegranate seeds
  • pomegranate molasses
  • Add the red onions and slowly sweat them down
  • Place the mince and spices in  bowl and mix together, leave to marinade if you have time
  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the mince and cook until brown and cooked through
  • Top the flatbreads with hummus, spicy mince, feta cheese and pine nuts
  • Place on a baking tray, cover with foil and heat in the oven for 10 minutes at 200C
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle over the rocket leaves and pomegranate seeds
  • Finish with a drizzle of pomegranate molasses
  • Serve and enjoy
